- SMAS facelift
- MACS facelift
- S lift
- Lower facelift
SMAS facelift is named by “superficial muscular aponeurotic system” which is a layer of tissue deep within the skin and subcutaneous tissue. This type of facelift is targeting lower two-thirds of the face. It reduces sagging skin, excess fat, jowls, and loss of volume in the cheeks by tightening the muscle, removing fat, and trimming excess skin. An incision is made at your temples above the hairline, so it is easy to hide.
MACS facelift, an abbreviation for Minimal Access Cranial Suspension-lift, which means Minilift. This method achieves a longer-lasting effect. It improves the mid face and malar area which other facelift techniques do not tent to help. The incision is in the hairline junction above the ears and it targets mainly the underlying muscular structures so it is ideal for those with limited facial sagginess. It is less extensive and the recovery is very fast after the surgery.
S lift is named by the narrow S shape incision located within the hairline and inside of the ear. It'is less invasive, where brows, eyes and forehead will not change the position which brings very natural look.
Lower facelift improves the area below the corners of your mouth. That would include the nasolabial folds (laugh lines) and jawline. To achieve the best possible result is to combine the lower facelift with neck lift.
