TUMMY TUCK MINI (Abdominoplasty)
| Procedure: | Surgical removal of loose overhanging skin on lower abdomen after weight loss or pregnancy. Often performed with liposuction treatment. Most often performed on men and women over 40. |
| Length: | Two hour. |
| Anesthesia: | General. |
| In/Outpatient: | Inpatient for one or two nights. |
| Side Effects: | Temporary bruising, swelling, numbness and tenderness of skin and tight feeling. |
| Risks: | Infection, bleeding. Poor healing; excessive scarring. |
| Recovery: | Back to work: 10 to 14 days. More strenuous activity: 6 weeks or more. Bruising: 2 to 3 weeks. Must limit exposure to sun for several months. |
