WHAT IS EYE COSMETIC SURGERY?

Eye cosmetic surgery also known as Blepharoplasty is a corrective treatment for upper or lower eyelids. Eyes are usually the first noticeable area of your face and can completely change your appearance.

It is known that eyes are the mirror of your soul and therefore people are very conscious about their eyes. They can be easily fixed with makeup and cosmetic products of good quality if there are minor issues in the mid-age.

However, once you realize you can not hide the tiredness and the sign of age you still have a choice of the treatment which can improve your defects.

As we age we lose the muscles supporting flexibility and therefore they become weak.

This causes the droopiness of your upper and lower eyelids and also the sagginess of the eyebrows. It can affect not only your appearance and make you look older but also cause medical problems when the saggy skin is overlapping the eye.

This condition is called peripheral vision reduction and It can be very restrictive and uncomfortable.

COST OF THE EYE SURGERY

Eye cosmetic procedure can be either performed separately as upper or lower eyelid lift or as a complete surgery. That means that you will have both, upper and lower eyelids treated at the same time.

The decision of having them done at once will not only save your recovery time but also money. The complete eyelid lift treatment will give you a completely different look. Your appearance will be immediately younger and fresh, however still looking natural.

Eye cosmetic surgery is often combined with another facial treatment, such as face lift, brow lift.

IS BLEPHAROPLASTY DANGEROUS?

Blepharoplasty is less invasive surgery, with a shorter healing time and it can be performed under local anaesthetic with sedation.

Eyelid lift surgery reduces or even completely removes the sagginess of your skin by removing the excess tissue.

Eye cosmetic surgery risks

The surgery itself is very safe and very little invasive, however, to make sure the result will be as expected with the shortest healing time, you will be instructed how to look after your eyes and what to avoid after the surgery.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE SURGERY?

You will be instructed to wear sunglasses to avoid the direct sunlight, which will also help your appearance as the eyes will be slightly bruised.

The bruising and swelling will disappear within 10 - 14 days. It is ideal to relax your eyes and keep them shut for as long as possible the first days after the surgery.

This will minimise the redness and watering eyes which will help the healing. It is very common to experience blurry or double vision, but it won't last for too long.

Once the aftercare is followed as instructed the result will be amazing and your new younger look will be immediately noticeable. In case you are not sure what procedure is the best for you or missing some information, please contact our professional team to book the free consultation.
