WHO IS DR HAMMOND?
Dr Hammond technique also known as SPAIR (Short Scar Periareolar Inferior Pedicle Reduction) has been developed by successful assistant professor of surgery Dr Denis C Hammond with over 25 years of experience at Michigan State University.
It's been evolved from the needs of the patients and many surgeons have adopted this method of breast procedure.
WHAT IS SPAIR TECHNIQUE?
SPAIR (Short Scar Periareolar Inferior Pedicle Reduction) removes tissue from around the nipple and the areola and breasts are reshaped in natural soft curves running from the outer portion of the breast over to the inner chest wall.
This method is done by the simple scar that passes around the nipple and areola and then straight down to the inframammary fold.
The short scar technique reduces the amount of scarring and improves the post-operative appearance of the breasts.
